Cool Little-Known Feature in Lightroom Mobile [video]

Hi Gang:
I’m heading out this weekend to Las Vegas for next week’s Photoshop World Conference & Expo (produced by KelbyOne), but before I go I wanted to share a little bit of what I’ll be sharing in one of my classes at Photoshop World, which is how to use Lightroom on your mobile device (for(iPad, iPhone and Android phones and tablets). In the video above I show how I’m integrating LR Mobile into a studio shoot, but inside there I share a really cool feature a lot of folks don’t know about (it is seriously cool!). How you find it helpful.

I’m off to a “Lightroom Love-fest!”
We have a Lightroom training track that runs all three days of the conference (which starts on Tuesday), and in one of my classes I’ll be teaching my “Seven Point System for Lightroom” and as I mentioned I’m also doing a session on Lightroom Mobile.

Since I’ll be at the conference, my posts here on LR Killer Tips will be “spotty” next (to say the least), so I just wanted to give you a heads up.

We’re streaming Adobe’s opening keynote live
Adobe often sneak peeks some technology during the Photoshop World opening keynote (Tuesday morning at 9:00 Pacific/Noon East Coast), so it’s worth watching (plus, it’s just fun) – the details (and a link to watch the live keynote) will be over on my Facebook page, and we’ll be posting lots of photos from the event over at my personal blog.

Hope you all have a great weekend, and I look forward to meeting a bunch of you in person next week in Vegas! (free Expo-only passes are available at this link if you just want to come and check out all the new gear from exhibitors and catch a few sessions in the show floor theaters).

Best,

-Scott

There is an edit problem in this clip: The part where someone is browsing on the iPad before you sent images to the Target collection. A bit confusing for those new to this feature. Great tip anyway!

I am currently a Creative Cloud customer, using only Lightroom and Photoshop installed on a desktop computer. If I want to put Lightroom on a laptop in order to shoot tethered on location, do I need to pay for another copy of Lightroom?

    Thanks,
    Greg

Thanks Scott for the great tips and all your information; I am fairly new to this but want to keep plugging away.

One more while we are at it – my hardware is getting old like me… What happens when the system crashes and you replace the system.

        Thanks again,
        Greg

thx a lot for u i wonder if u can help in this case

i am in Kenya now with very low internet connection and i wish to transfer my 3000 photos to my lightroom mobile catalog so that i can do the filtering , rating flags when i am on my way back to my home at airplane

is there is any way to do it without internet connection ? for example i transfer the photos direct to ipad then import them from lightroom mobile or in that way it will not sync with my existing catalog ?

    thx again for u 🙂
