For example, on a landscape picture I apply various amounts of texture and dehaze and various levels of sky enhancements.

I think I found a workaround for additive preset usage: I have created a mask that includes all of the image (e.g. by using a linear gradient that starts and ends outside the image) and then performed the wanted changes there. Then I created a preset that only includes this mask, nothing else.
Now I can use this preset to change values on top of the already set ones. Of course this can get a bit confusing in times – but at least it works.
