I am newbie on video with a7iV. I have different formats 4:2:2 10 bits, 4:2:0 and profiles PP0-1 (no profile), pp9 (s-log) and pp11 (cinetone). Ae these recognized or do you advise just to make HD ?
I have adobe premiere but will take time to learn and i want to make family and dog memory clips.

Thanks Rob, The playing and trimming along with setting the poster frame section were an instant help. Stated playing in adobe premier rush but haven’t messed with color, exposure stuff yet. Appreciate it.

Good info Rob. I am just beginning to get aquatinted with video. Trying to learn DaVinci Resolve and it is quite a learning curve. Hopefully LRcc will continue to upgrade its video capability and enable users to stay with one ap. Dale

In reply to Liza Reifsnyder. Hi Liza, I think you'd get better results using the self timer on your camera shooting stills. Most cameras these days will allow you to configure the self timer function to take up to 10 photos, this way you are more likely to get a few good ones and a few funny ones, but at the full resolution of your sensor at the desired aperture, shutter speed, and ISO (and not have to mess with extracting stills from a video).

Would you consider writing an article on extracting usable images from a video or a stop- motion time lapse? Thinking about using this technique to take self portraits of my family (several small children included). The intent would be to get candid still images of the best possible quality.
