Printing: The Easy Way To Put Your Image Right Where You Want It On The Page

Hi Gang, and Happy Monday! Here’s a very quick tutorial on a question I get asked a lot about, and that is what’s the easiest way to put your image right where you want it on the page (hint: you don’t use any sliders at all!). 🙂

Hope you found that helpful.

I’m off to Orlando today for my seminar there tomorrow. My next stop is Ft. Lauderdale on Thursday. Not too late to get tickets to either one. Hope you can make it out if you’re in that area.

Best,

-Scott

P.S. This is the last week to save $100 on the Photoshop World full conference pass – the early bird discount ends this Friday. Pack your bags — we’re going to learn Lightroom out in Vegas on July 19-21st.

Perfect timing for this tip. I was struggling with this yesterday trying to get several of my photos into print form. Thanks, Scott.

Remember to select your printer and paper size first! This ensures you don’t place your print box in a non-printing margin….

I also use ‘custom package’ to make up wedding album pages. I have a set of page templates that I have created and saved, using a custom page size and margins that matches the album pages.

I can then drag and drop photos into the boxes to create a whole page of photos. I then ‘print to jpeg file.’ Once all the pages are made up and saved, I import them into my standard album design software. This way, each raw file is output at the correct size, and sharpened accordingly.
