At the change of the year, edit as above but safe the old year info as ‘copyright 2019’, then simply update to 2020 and update the ‘copyright’ preset. Now, anywhere that you use the preset gets automagically updated, without having to go around changing it.

Handy hint if you’re an Olympus user. Check (but don’t fill in) the ‘Caption’ field in your copyright preset. This will get rid off the annoying Olympus advert that they insist on putting there and that you can’t turn off.
