Lightroom in 60-Seconds: The Hidden Adjustment Brush Amount Slider
If you’ve applied some adjustments using the Adjustment Brush you can control the amount after the fact using the Amount slider (and if you just said, “What Amount slider?” this is for you. The slider itself is hidden, but once you make it visible, you’ll dig it because it adjusts all the settings proportionally (essentially it does the math for you, which is nice).
Hope you found that helpful.
Thanks to all the folks who are coming out to my seminar today in San Diego and tomorrow in Phoenix. Next month I’m in LA and Houston (tickets and details here). Hope I’ll see you in one of these cities soon. 🙂
Have a good one,
-Scott

Fun Geeky Tip: You can accomplish the same by hovering over the active Adjustment Brush Pin and holding down the [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] key and scrubbing right or left. Saves you from having to go back and collapse the Adjustment Brush sliders stack.
thanks for this tip, Rikk, awesome.
On my win10 machine only ALT seems ok.
Both starts with the green color (like o key) but quickly toggles to the adjustment itself we can attenuate
Hey Scott,
Good Grief!!! That is a super tip!! I’ve been using LR since day one, but never knew about the Amount Slider!! You made and saved my day!!!
