Personally I look at ads someone I know posts, because I assume they have some integrity in what they’ll put their name along side of. Never had a Tamron lens but I hope some people take a peek and look into it. For all the zillions of free info LRKT and Scott Kelby have doled out liberally over the years, seeing an ad once in a while seems far more than a fair trade. TY for all that “free” for what’s over a decade now…

I come here for news and tips not to read advertising or re-hashed press-releases.

You used to be a respected photographer…
What happened Scott?

How is this a Lightroom Killer Tip?

It’s an ad. 1st line is a direct copy of the Tamron blurb.

Canon has had a 24-105 f/4 stabilised zoom for years and that’s no more a perfect portrait lens than this. Both too slow at 85mm.

I’ve been testing it on my 5D3 (for portraits) and the RP (walk around).

Very impressed with how sharp this lens is, even at 150mm. Color reproduction is excellent as well.

It’s not as heavy as some of my Sigma Art lenses but is still a solid lens.

I shoot head shots in a small studio and in locations that are challenging. I’d love to shoot exclusively at 85mm but just can’t always do so. This lens will solve my problem.

I’ve long wished someone would create a Canon equivalent of the 24-120 mentioned by Rudi and now they have. Thank you Tamron.

What makes it more a portrait lens than let’s say a 24-120 f/4.0?
