In reply to Gary Friedman. as i just wrote, even with a perfect selection of sky, what do you want to do next ? :-) apply a graduated filter with luminance range which already works well ? we are not in luminar :-)

It is an amazing new feature but, compared to C1, ON1, luminar, DXO, we have no filter to use this new masking at its optimum.
Most of the time local tools are enough to retouch a raw and jump to another program for artistic effects.
At least we should have in Lightroom classic some new blur filters (gaussian, motion, lens, orton, glow, tilt shift instead of negative structure), golden hour filter, and possibility to add a texture layer with a blend mode…
These can be non destructive with simple instructions what we did inside xmp easily and not too much “pixel oriented”.

It looks like a nice capability, but as with ALL of adobe’s demonstrations, they start with a sample that’s easy to select anyway using existing tools. Show us how it selects a sky with a lot of trees on its border, or a model with wild hair blowing in the wind!
