The Next Level of Removing Chromatic Aberrations
Hey, gang – as promised here’s a follow-up to my earlier “one-click” solution for getting rid of those nasty purple and green color fringes along the edges of things in your image. This technique takes it up a notch by showing what to do when the one-click solution doesn’t work. Luckily, it’s quick and easy.
Hope you found that helpful. 🙂
Today is the last day to enter for your chance to win the same Profoto B1x Strobe I used in that behind-the-scenes fashion shoot video I shared here on Friday
We’re partnering with ProfotoUSA on this awesome giveaway, and all you have to do to enter is….enter (it’s not a photo competition – it’s a giveaway).
Here’s what you get if you win:
- A Profoto B1X (Like the ones I used in the video)
- AÂ Profoto Air Remote (you get one that works with your brand of camera)
- AÂ Profoto Softlight Reflector
The whole package is right around $2,800 and you could win it — but you can’t win if you don’t enter in it.
Here’s the link to enter.
Good luck, everybody, and have a great Monday!
Best,
-Scott
P.S. Are you coming to spend the day with me learning Lightroom? My seminar is in Washington DC on Friday, August 17th. Come on out.Â
[…] few weeks back Scott posted a helpful video on how to remove chromatic aberration from your photographs, and there was a comment on there from Elliott that inspired me for this week’s post. Elliott was […]
Spreading the purple and green hue sliders enough to remove the c.a. also reduces the overall saturation. Guess there is no free lunch.
Scott, thanks for this tip as the one click wasn’t fixing C.A. for me. Also happy to see it works with my older Lr version 5.71.
My takeaway from the GRID preview is there are lots of papers flying around 🙂
I kid, love the show and all the great tips.
I must be lucky : I never used those sliders, the eyedropper of same panel does the job pretty well.
I’m saving that eyedropper trick for a different post, but you’re right – it does a great job, too! 🙂
Great tip Scott! While I knew of the auto option, I was unaware you could adjust manually and to that degree of accuracy. Well done!
Thanks, Ed 🙂
